Fender USA Strat Plus loaded pickguard. If you are going to restore that old Strat, you might as well do it right! Up for sale is this near-vintage “loaded” pickguard pulled from a genuine Fender USA 1995 Strat Plus. The genuine Fender Lace Sensor Deluxe pickups all work as well as new. If you have never played a Strat with Lace Sensors, you are in for a real treat. These are the pickups that Eric Clapton originally used in his Signature Strat. The Fender Lace Sensor is in my opinion one of the best pickups ever produced. It not only sounds great, but it exhibits hardly any of the obnoxious noise or hum that plagues most single-coil pickups. The pickups have aged naturally and typically for Lace Sensors. The pickguard itself has light wear, I’ve tried to show where there are some more obvious pickmarks between the neck and middle pickups, but it’s not very noticeable. All controls and the wiring are original – the lower pot is the famed and now hard-to-find Fender TBX tone control that can cut treble without raising bass. The pot date codes are obscured by solder, which is typical for 1990s Fender pots, but you can barely make out the “95” date code on the TBX tone pot. All pickups, pots, and the switch work as well as new. It’s easy to install with only some minor soldering to your output jack and ground. This NOT a lot to ask!
