Up for sale is this near-vintage “loaded” pickguard pulled from a genuine Fender USA 1996 Strat Plus. Excellent overall, as good as new functionally. The genuine Fender gold Lace Sensor pickups all work as well as new. If you have never played a Strat with Lace Sensors, you are in for a real treat. These are the pickups that Eric Clapton originally used in his Signature Strat – not the newer Fender Noiseless. The gold Fender Lace Sensor is in my opinion one of the best pickups ever produced. It not only sounds great, but it exhibits hardly any of the obnoxious noise or hum that plagues most single-coil pickups. The pickguard itself has hardly any wear, with no major gouges, breaks, cracks, or other wear. The other components are all original 1996 Fender USA parts, and all function smoothly and noise-free. The lower pot is the famed and now hard-to-find Fender TBX tone control that can cut treble without raising bass. The pot date codes are all obscured by solder, which is typical for 1990s Fender pots. The original factory wiring is unmolested. Even the knobs and switch tip are the original Fender Factory parts. It’s easy to install with only some minor soldering to your output jack and ground. I’m not a faceless business but a life-long guitarist who can give you the personal touch.
