Proper Pickguards The McCready Stratocaster Loaded Pickguard-Mint on Mint

Posted On March 8, 2026 | Comments Closed |

Welcome to Proper Pickguards. All builds can be customized to your specs – just send a message. Every loaded pickguard includes a premium multi-point output jack and 11 mounting screws. Up for grabs is this mint-on-mint 11-hole Strat loaded pickguard featuring a hand-wound, USA-made set of McCready-inspired single coils. This build uses a NOS Russian K75-12 paper-in-oil capacitor. 015µF / 400V – the highest-end capacitor we offer. It provides smooth, interactive tone control with zero mud and works perfectly with the discreet treble bleed for musical response across the entire sweep. This one component is a game changer. These pickups were designed to avoid the shrill edge the stock MIM McCready sets can have. We retained the McCready-style treble bleed so the volume control stays clear and expressive but without harshness. Built with the best components throughout. Specs. McCready-inspired pickups (Alnico 2 & 4, RWRP). Oak-Grigsby 5-way switch. Hand-matched Bourns 250k pots. NOS Russian K75-12 PIO capacitor. Due to normal variation in Strat screw hole placement, a small pilot hole may occasionally be required for perfect alignment.

Still has protective plastic on the pickguard. With three of our patented Stack Plus pickups, this prewired pickguard delivers big, beefy tones without sacrificing the chime and sparkle of a great vintage Strat. The Custom Stack Plus in the bridge position gives you a full, fat sounding bridge tone. The Vintage-Hot Stack Plus gives you a little thicker neck tone. And the Classic Stack Plus in the middle gives you a variety of vintage flavorings in positions 2, 3, & 4. Overall, you get a truly versatile, noiseless setup that can be dropped into your Strat. There is also coil-splitting option that lets you choose between hum-cancelling Stack mode and traditional single-coil operation. These pickups all use alnico 5 rod magnets, 3-conductor splittable leadwire, and are vacuum wax potted for squeal free operation. Welcome To Pilgrims Projects. I have been a musician for over 40 years, and know that quality items can greatly help both your sound quality and musical enjoyment. That’s a pretty good deal.
