The Dark Moon loaded pickguard is hand-wound and hand-wired for players chasing the bright, glassy, low-output Strat tone David Gilmour used throughout Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here. Built for clean, expressive playing – shimmering highs, scooped mids and smooth dynamics, just like a proper mid-’70s Strat. No hype, no marketing fluff – just a clean, accurate, hand-built assembly using the right materials. Fits Fender American and Mexican Standard Stratocaster bodies. Check the pickguard dimensions in the photos to confirm fit. All pickups: South Up. DC Resistance & Inductance. Bridge: 5.9k? / 2.50H. Middle: 5.8k? / 2.45H. Neck: 5.8k? / 2.45H. Wire: 42 AWG Plain Enamel. Spacing: Vintage 52mm stagger. Potting: Light wax potting (keeps the vintage openness). These values recreate the open top end, scooped mids and smooth dynamic response associated with mid-’70s Strat tone – the DSOTM-era Gilmour sound. Prewired Black 3-Ply Pickguard. Cream knobs + cream switch tip. 0.022µF bridge tone cap. 0.047µF neck/middle tone cap. Fully soldered and ready to drop straight in. Ideal for DSOTM-era Gilmour cleans, classic rock, blues and expressive studio lead tones. Hand-built consistency and matched inductance give reliable performance and proper mid-’70s character. Loaded Dylan pickguard for Fender Strat. Pick guard is white pearl. I installed it on my new Strat, then decided to go a different route. I never even soldered on the ouput jack. The only sign that it’s been installed is the shielding tape is pierced where the screws went through and I removed the clear film from the pickguard. The guitar in the picture is not included!
