The back cover still has the plastic on it. It’s wired up using the American Standard/Series wiring minus the no-load tone pot (instead it is three CTS 250k audio split shaft pots). Master volume and two tone pots, the bottom tone control for the bridge and middle and the 2nd tone control for the neck. If you’re unfamiliar with the Tex-Mex pickups they’re Alinco 5, vintage stagger and polysol magnet wire and overwound to roughly 7.4k bridge, 6.4k RWRP middle, and 6.4k neck. What I did here was modify the stagger, so they are now all flat and non-staggered which gives a nicer balanced output, especially on that G string pole which is no longer raised in relation to the others. In addition it’s been upgraded with a treble bleed circuit on the volume pot 1/4w 150k resister and. 001uf cap in parallel and Orange Drop. It also has the standard Oak Grigsby 5-way selector switch. Just solder three points, screw down the grounding post and you’re ready to go! 2017 Fender American “Artist Series” Eric Johnson Stratocaster Loaded Pickguard Assembly. Fender Eric Johnson vintage-voiced Stratocaster Single-coil Pickups set (exclusive to this model Stratocaster). 3-ply Parchment White’57 reissue screw pattern mount pickguard. Complete original mounting screws set included. All original wiring as it came new from Fender, no functional issues with any of the components. The protective plastic film has not been removed from the pickguard (please see all 12 photos). These EJ pickups are really among the best pickups Fender has produced, in my opinion.
