I gig regularly with the same pickups and pickguards I sell, and I’m constantly refining my Strat builds. This isn’t a kit of cheap parts. It’s a carefully built, short-run piece of gear, made one at a time with attention to detail and tone. Tone & Feel (50s-inspired). Bright but soft, never harsh. Highly dynamic and responsive. Tight in the bass, with fast attack. They’re low-output and expressive, rewarding touch and volume-knob control classic Strat behaviour. If you’re after clarity, definition, and character, something that doesn’t sound mass-produced: this is it. Vintage Fender-style wiring (modern hookup wire). Vintage 50s output: approx. 6.3k? Bridge, 5.6k? Middle / neck. 42 AWG magnet wire (Elektrisola or Remington). Alnico 5 staggered rod magnets. CTS 250k audio taper pots (dish-back). Fully assembled and tested. USA Fender SRV Custom Shop Strat LOADED PICKGUARD Josefina Texas Special Pickups. This is as good as it gets, if you ever wanted the ultimate SRV Strat, just add this loaded pickguard to your guitar and you will have one of the highest quality best sounding set ups ever put in a Custom Shop Strat. This is a USA Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan SRV Stratocaster Loaded Pickguard complete with Josefina Hand Wound Texas Special Pickups, 250K Pots, 5 Position Switch, and Knobs even includes mounting the screws. The Pickguard was pulled from a 2025 USA Fender SRV Signature Stratocaster still has the plastic on it, then we used new CTS 250k pots, a. 05 Fender Cap, a new USA CRL 5 way switch and a set of 2020 Josefina hand wound Texas Special Pickups. This Loaded Stratocaster SSS pickguard features Alnico 5, hand-wound with hotter on the bridge and clean on the neck pickups wound and assembled entirely by me. It’s a drop-in replacement for most modern Strats. Just solder the output jack and you’re ready to play. I hand-wind every coil myself in small batches, chasing that clean, airy, bell-like Strat tone I’ve always loved. I gig with the same pickups I sell and I’m constantly tinkering with Strats. This is not a kit full of cheap parts, it’s a lovingly built piece of gear made in short runs, one at a time. You’ll hear the difference: classic Strat chime, great definition, and touch-sensitive response. Wiring follows vintage Fender spec. The neck is right about vintage 50s spec giving you a bright bell like Strat tone and the bridge is slightly warmer to balance the volume. The middle is a balance between the two. It’s a relatively bright winding of the pickups with scooped mids and nice high end. If you want a different colour or spec, check my other listings or send me a message. I often have variations available. Elektrisola 42 AWG wire. Alnico 5 rod magnets. RWRP middle for hum-cancelling in 2 & 4. CTS dish back pots. Genuine Fender 5-way Grigsby switch.
