Part of my Bench Series – builds assembled from quality components pulled from previous projects, reworked and tested on the bench. Loaded vintage 11-hole pickguard with hand-wound Alnico 5 pickups, voiced for a medium-wound early’60s-style tone. The neck is lower output and clear, with a slightly hotter bridge that holds up well for clean lead work. A balanced, expressive set with plenty of character from the hand-wound, high-scatter pickups. Hand-wound Alnico 5 pickups. RWRP middle for hum-cancelling in positions 2 & 4. Protective film still on pickguard.

Part of my Bench Series – builds assembled from quality components pulled from previous projects, reworked and tested on the bench. Loaded with modified Duncan Designed Alnico 5 pickups, with a hotter bridge and a medium-wound neck and middle. The factory shielding has been removed, which opens them up and improves clarity. A solid, punchy setup with a bit more output in the bridge while keeping usable, balanced tones across the other positions. Modified Duncan Designed Alnico 5 pickups. RWRP middle for hum-cancelling in positions 2 & 4. Protective film still on pickguard.

Fitted with Fender V-Mod II pickups, CTS pots and an upgraded Fender Oak Grigsby 5-way switch. These pickups are used in the American Professional II series and are known for blending vintage warmth with clear, modern articulation. A versatile setup with good balance across all positions – clean and articulate, but still able to push when you lean into it. Fender V-Mod II pickups. RWRP middle for hum-cancelling in positions 2 & 4. Fender Oak Grigsby 5-way switch. Protective film still on pickguard.

This Loaded Stratocaster SSS pickguard features Alnico 5, hand-wound vintage, 50s vibe pickups wound and assembled entirely by me. It’s a drop-in replacement for most modern Strats. Just solder the output jack and you’re ready to play. I hand-wind every coil myself in small batches, chasing that clean, airy, bell-like Strat tone I’ve always loved. I gig with the same pickups I sell and I’m constantly tinkering with Strats. This is not a kit full of cheap parts, it’s a lovingly built piece of gear made in short runs, one at a time. You’ll hear the difference: classic Strat chime, great definition, and touch-sensitive response. The pickguard has old white knobs and covers on black. Rockin’ the David Gilmour look. This relic loaded Stratocaster SSS pickguard features Alnico 2, hand-wound vintage,’50s vibe pickups wound and assembled entirely by me. It’s a drop-in replacement for most modern Strats. Just solder the output jack and you’re ready to play. If you’re a looking for an upgrade or something new for your Strat, this will be a nice upgrade. Alnico 2 pickups are clean and have excellent sustain. If your amp has some headroom, you’ll be able to drive it a bit harder before it breaks up. This is a mild relic. The pickguard has been lightly sanded and the knobs have been distressed to be dirty looking. It’s been on my shop bench for a little bit which will rough it up a little. I hand-wind every coil myself in small batches, chasing that clean, airy, bell-like Strat tone I’ve always loved. I gig with the same pickups I sell and I’m constantly tinkering with Strats. Tight in the bass, with fast attack. They’re low-output and expressive, rewarding touch and volume-knob control classic Strat behaviour.
