This relic loaded Stratocaster SSS pickguard features Alnico 2, hand-wound vintage,’50s vibe pickups wound and assembled entirely by me. It’s a drop-in replacement for most modern Strats. Just solder the output jack and you’re ready to play. If you’re a looking for an upgrade or something new for your Strat, this will be a nice upgrade. Alnico 2 pickups are clean and have excellent sustain. If your amp has some headroom, you’ll be able to drive it a bit harder before it breaks up. This is a mild relic. The pickguard has been lightly sanded and the knobs have been distressed to be dirty looking. It’s been on my shop bench for a little bit which will rough it up a little. I hand-wind every coil myself in small batches, chasing that clean, airy, bell-like Strat tone I’ve always loved. I gig with the same pickups I sell and I’m constantly tinkering with Strats. This is not a kit full of cheap parts, it’s a lovingly built piece of gear made in short runs, one at a time. You’ll hear the difference: classic Strat chime, great definition, and touch-sensitive response. I’m using quality components in all my builds (see specs). Wiring follows vintage Fender spec. I gig regularly with the same pickups and pickguards I sell, and I’m constantly refining my Strat builds. This isn’t a kit of cheap parts. It’s a carefully built, short-run piece of gear, made one at a time with attention to detail and tone. Tone & Feel (50s-inspired). Bright but soft, never harsh. Highly dynamic and responsive. Tight in the bass, with fast attack. They’re low-output and expressive, rewarding touch and volume-knob control classic Strat behaviour. If you’re after clarity, definition, and character, something that doesn’t sound mass-produced: this is it. Vintage Fender-style wiring (modern hookup wire). Vintage 50s output: approx. 6.3k? Bridge, 5.6k? Middle / neck. 42 AWG magnet wire (Elektrisola or Remington). Alnico 5 staggered rod magnets. CTS 250k audio taper pots (dish-back). Fully assembled and tested. This Loaded Stratocaster SSS pickguard features Alnico 5, hand-wound with hotter on the bridge and clean on the neck pickups wound and assembled entirely by me. It’s a drop-in replacement for most modern Strats. Just solder the output jack and you’re ready to play. I hand-wind every coil myself in small batches, chasing that clean, airy, bell-like Strat tone I’ve always loved. I gig with the same pickups I sell and I’m constantly tinkering with Strats. This is not a kit full of cheap parts, it’s a lovingly built piece of gear made in short runs, one at a time. You’ll hear the difference: classic Strat chime, great definition, and touch-sensitive response. Wiring follows vintage Fender spec. The neck is right about vintage 50s spec giving you a bright bell like Strat tone and the bridge is slightly warmer to balance the volume. The middle is a balance between the two. This Loaded Stratocaster SSS pickguard features Alnico 5, hand-wound vintage/warm, 60’s vibe pickups wound and assembled entirely by me. It’s a drop-in replacement for most modern Strats. I’m obsessed with getting those gorgeous single coils to sing, and the scatter-winding reduces parasitic capacitance for extra clarity and top-end detail. I gig with the same pickups and get regular compliments on the sound. This is not a kit full of cheap parts, it’s a lovingly built piece of gear made in short runs, one at a time. You’ll hear the difference: classic Strat chime, great definition, and touch-sensitive response. The pickguard is red-ish tortoiseshell with white knobs and covers and still has the plastic cover.
