SRV Stevie Ray Vaughan Stratocaster Loaded Pickguard with Hand Wound Pickup Set
Fender Stratocaster Loaded Pickguard with Custom Hand Wound SRV Number One #1 Tribute Pickups form Migas Touch Pickups. The pickguard was pulled from a genuine Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature Stratocaster. We removed the pickups and installed a set of hand-wound Number One Tribute Pickups from Migas Touch. The protective plastic is still on the pickguard. Stevie Ray Vaughan’s pickups were examined in that hotel room autopsy by Fender. Copper foil wrapping and grounding acts as a “shorted turn” which clips off some of the treble. These pickups are wound with heavy formvar wire and can be on the squeaky clean/bright side, so this shielding helps to mellow them down. I did the research when reproducing these pickups using period correct USA made components. From the vulcanized fiber flat work and Alnico V Magnets that are aged and hand beveled with the same stagger as used by Fender for the Stratocaster in 1959. They are wound with heavy formvar. Also the copper foil wrapping and grounding to mellow the treble. Everything about these pickups is as correct as can be made to replicate the pickups in the famous Number One Strat. Stevie would keep these pickups low, close to the pickguard, and had a high action using heavier strings. With a low gain amp and cranking it up in combination with these pickups is how Stevie pulled the amazing tones from his guitar. These do not use methods to try and replicate his sound like many others do but instead these use the same components and technique to match the pickups he used. We lacquer seal all of our bobbins for durability then fully wax pot them to avoid microphonic noises and squeals. All of our pickups are hand-wound and scatter-wound. Each of our hand-wound sets are signed and dated. 100% made in the USA. Heavy Formvar 42 wire. Neck and Bridge North Up with the Middle South Up. Period correct staggered pole pieces with aged finish. Average read outs: Neck 5.9, Middle 5.5, Bridge 5.5 but each may vary slightly. Period correct cloth push back wire. Copper foil wrapping and grounding. Genuine Fender SRV Pickguard and Wiring from SRV Signature Strat. SRV Number One #1 Tribute Stratocaster Guitar Hand Wound Shielded Pickups Set.

2024 Fender Custom Shop “Wildwood 10″ hand wound Stratocaster loaded pickguard. Barely used yet at all. Still has the protective plastic on the pickguard and cover. The guitar this came from had the NOS finish package so everything is new looking without artificial wear or relic work done. Color is “Parchment” on the Floor Traveler. The wildwood description of these below. I have a lot of Fender Custom Shop and USA parts listed, maybe still more from this guitar. We believe that the Wildwood 10 Strat pickups our friends at Fender wind for us are some of the finest single-coils in the world. Here’s a quick rundown of what makes them tick. They’re slightly underwound, which gives them exceptional dynamic response and touch sensitivity. You can really alter your sound based on how hard you’re hitting, which makes for a wonderfully expressive playing experience. However, they are wound with thicker wire like Fender did in the sixties, which gives them a little more power and guts despite being underwound. As a result, their voice is similar to vintage Strat pickups we love with lots of bell-like chime and vocal response, but with a little extra warmth and muscle. Although they are not exactly the same as a real vintage example, we think they capture the magic sound of a great vintage Strat, giving you access to the iconic sound that shaped countless classic records. We have no doubt they will make your heartstrings resonate!

Robbie Robertson Last Waltz Stratocaster Loaded Pickguard Hand Wound Pickups & Hand Wired Tribute by Migas Touch Pickups Black 8 Hole. You can now have this historic loaded pickguard which was made to the specs from the Fender Custom Shop Model. Migas Touch Pickups Hand Wound 54 in the neck, left handed 59 flipped upside down in the middle and 69 in the bridge. Hand wired running the middle and bridge together to make a humbucker style and the 3 way switch wired so the selector. Just like Robbie’s we used telecaster knobs which he said were easier to control. The pickups are wax potted and made to vintage year specs. This is truly amazing sounding and let you quickly turn your start into the Last Waltz Guitar. We also have them in black both 11 hole and 8 hole and white 8 hole so check my other listing or send us a message. Note: Your stratocaster body may need to be routed to fit the middle and bridge configured pickups. Here’s the info from Fender Custom Shop official site. On the evening of November 25, 1976 at San Francisco’s famed Winterland concert venue, the lights dimmed, and a hush fell over the crowd as The Band took the stage for one last time before they dissolved into the annals of history. This historic farewell concert was documented for posterity by filmmaker Martin Scorsese, but guitarist Robbie Robertson-the man who used his trusty Fender to back up Dylan when he went electric-thought the moment deserved more commemoration. He had his favorite guitar, a red 1954 Stratocaster, dipped in bronze to commemorate the life-changing moment. He proceeded to play this now one-of-a-kind instrument during the course of the concert, cementing its place in legend. The Last Waltz Stratocaster is a rare, unique glimpse into the history of guitar modifications, specifically ones commonly performed in the’70s. During this time period there was no such thing as a valuable vintage guitar-there were only “old” guitars that were the perfect platform for experimentation. Master Builder Todd Krause replicated this classic instrument as closely as possible to the state it was in when the concert was filmed. From the NOS tone capacitors and knobs with the same tension as the original, to the airbrushed headplug and “wear beneath the wear” on the back of the neck, every element was reproduced as meticulously as possible. The Last Waltz Stratocaster’s gleaming bronze finish was applied “Old World-style”; the guitar was actually dipped into the bronze instead of the contemporary process of forming the bronze around it. The result-a thin coating that penetrates the body wood, revealing the wood grain through the bronze. Not only did Krause precisely replicate the Last Waltz Stratocaster’s unique neck profile and headstock shape, he even matched the “wear beneath the wear” on the fingerboard of the neck. “Wear beneath the wear” means that the neck had been refinished at some point in its life and then absorbed even more playing miles, requiring a multi-step process of finishing/aging, refinishing/aging. Every dent and ding was reproduced as meticulously as possible, even down to the headplug that was airbrushed at the factory to cover a manufacturing flaw. Middle and Bridge, Position 2. All Three, Position 3.
