This Loaded Stratocaster SSS pickguard features Alnico 5, hand-wound with hotter on the bridge and clean on the neck pickups wound and assembled entirely by me. It’s a drop-in replacement for most modern Strats. Just solder the output jack and you’re ready to play. I hand-wind every coil myself in small batches, chasing that clean, airy, bell-like Strat tone I’ve always loved. I gig with the same pickups I sell and I’m constantly tinkering with Strats. This is not a kit full of cheap parts, it’s a lovingly built piece of gear made in short runs, one at a time. You’ll hear the difference: classic Strat chime, great definition, and touch-sensitive response. Wiring follows vintage Fender spec. The neck is right about vintage 50s spec giving you a bright bell like Strat tone and the bridge is slightly warmer to balance the volume. The middle is a balance between the two. It’s a relatively bright winding of the pickups with scooped mids and nice high end. If you want a different colour or spec, check my other listings or send me a message. I often have variations available. Elektrisola 42 AWG wire. Alnico 5 rod magnets. RWRP middle for hum-cancelling in 2 & 4. CTS dish back pots. Genuine Fender 5-way Grigsby switch. 2024 Fender Custom Shop “Wildwood 10″ hand wound Stratocaster loaded pickguard. Barely used yet at all. Still has the protective plastic on the pickguard and cover. The guitar this came from had the NOS finish package so everything is new looking without artificial wear or relic work done. Color is “Parchment” on the Floor Traveler. The wildwood description of these below. I have a lot of Fender Custom Shop and USA parts listed, maybe still more from this guitar. We believe that the Wildwood 10 Strat pickups our friends at Fender wind for us are some of the finest single-coils in the world. Here’s a quick rundown of what makes them tick. They’re slightly underwound, which gives them exceptional dynamic response and touch sensitivity. You can really alter your sound based on how hard you’re hitting, which makes for a wonderfully expressive playing experience. However, they are wound with thicker wire like Fender did in the sixties, which gives them a little more power and guts despite being underwound. As a result, their voice is similar to vintage Strat pickups we love with lots of bell-like chime and vocal response, but with a little extra warmth and muscle. Although they are not exactly the same as a real vintage example, we think they capture the magic sound of a great vintage Strat, giving you access to the iconic sound that shaped countless classic records. We have no doubt they will make your heartstrings resonate!
