1980 Fender USA Stratocaster loaded pickguard. > Will also do nicely for the 1981 and 1982 Stratocasters – all-original. Up for sale is this clean “loaded” pickguard pulled from a 1980 Fender USA Stratocaster. I usually sell the parts on this separately, but I’m hoping someone will see the real value of having the complete loaded pickguard for a vintage 1980, 1981 or 1982 Strat restoration. It’s also a great upgrade for any Strat. It’s especially ideal for those who aren’t great at soldering. And here’s the pitch to your wife! : having a completely original Strat greatly increases its resale value. Condition: Very good to Excellent. All the components are Fender Fullerton original, are in great shape, and all work as well as new. There is no sign of rust or corrosion anywhere. The “80” date codes are clearly evident on all the pickups, and on the volume and middle tone pots. The lower tone pot’s date is covered by solder. All the wiring is original and molested. The pickguard itself has the usual pickmarks, but they are not easy to see on a black guard unless angled up to a light. No major scratches, gouges, breaks, cracks, or other wear is present. As you can see in the pictures, the 1980 Fender pickups all have the desirable gray fiber bobbins. Overall, this is a great-sounding collection of vintage parts in outstanding shape. Installation Notes : If you have a 1979 – 1982 Strat, installing this part couldn’t be easier. Simply solder up the output wire to your jack, screw on the pickguard, and you’re done! Although obviously intended for a vintage Stratocaster restoration, this part will fit any standard Fender USA Stratocaster body. Instead of mailing me. You are looking at a brand new loaded pre-wired pickguard with a set of 3 genuine Fender Custom Shop’69 pickups. Initialed, and dated by Abby (Abigail Ybarra). The color is all aged cream. It looks very beautiful! There is a protective plastic cover on the pickguard to be peeled off when you get it. Everything coming with the pickguard is brand new genuine Fender parts. Look of a great vintage Strat! Features three Texas Hot pickups and the artfully aged appearance of our Antiquity line. Each pickguard is a unique work of art personally signed and numbered by Seymour W. The pickguard is a classic white, single ply 8 hole Strat pickguard. Each comes with a specially aged cover. I don’t just mold my covers with custom colors so that they look old. The magnets are calibrated and the coils are wound “top going” with North polarity, the same as the early vintage models. Texas Hot (standard and Rw/Rp versions). For years now I’ve been custom-making these pickups for my friends and special artist friends. Each Texas HotT is carefully assembled and hand-wound like the traditional classics. Careful attention to details like scatter-winding ensures that the Texas Hot looks and sounds like a classic Strat® should. The magnets are calibrated and the coils are wound “top going” with “north” magnetic polarity, the same as the early vintage models. Each cover is individually aged: not just injection molded with custom colored plastics. Also, an RW/RP version is available for the middle position. Texas Hot (and Rw/Rp). North (Rw/Rp = south). 6/32 oval head, phillips. Staggered & raised above flatword.
