Left Handed Fender Stratocaster Loaded Pickguard with Custom Hand Wound SRV Number One #1 Tribute 59 Spec Pickups from Migas Touch Pickups. The 8 hole pickguard is a high quality after market Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature Stratocaster pickguard. The pickups are Custom Hand Wound Number One Tribute Pickups from Migas Touch and the wiring is hand wired by Migas Touch using CTS 250k left handed pots with left handed volume and tone knobs, orange drop 716 series. 047 cap and a CRL USA made 5 way switch. Protective Plastic is still on the pickguard. 8 gold screws included for assembly. True left handed from pickguard, to left handed staggered 59 spec pickups, and control knobs. Guitar Not Included, Loaded Pickguard Only. Copper foil wrapping and grounding acts as a “shorted turn” which basically clips off the treble a bunch. These pickups are heavy formvar and can be on the squeaky clean/bright side so this helps mellow them down some. Even though the vintage Fender pickups are more mellow sounding than new pickups, some of the better preserved ones can still be pretty bright. So a basically unfinished guitar and shielded pickups really soften the pickups in a good combination. I did the research when reproducing these pickups using period correct USA made components. From the vulcanized fiber flat work, Alnico V Magnets that are aged and hand beveled with the same stagger as used by Fender for the Stratocaster in 1959. With the Heavy Formvar. Copper foil wrapping and grounding which acts as a shorter turn which clips off the treble. Everything about these pickups is as correct as can be made and replicate the pickups in The famous Number One Strat. Stevie would keep these pickups low, close to the pickguard and had a high action using heavier strings. With a low gain amp and cranking it up in combination with these pickups is how Stevie pulled the amazing tones from his guitar. These are the real deal and I did not use other methods to try and replicate his sound like many others do but using same components to come as close as possible to match the pickups he used. We lacquer seal all of our bobbins for durability then fully wax pot them to avoid microphonic noises and squeals. All of our pickups are hand wound and scatterwound. Each of our hand-wound sets are signed and dated. 100% made in the USA. Heavy Formvar 42 wire. Neck and Bridge North Up with the Middle South Up. Period correct staggered pole pieces with aged finish. Average read outs: Neck 5.7, Middle 5.3, Bridge 5.3 but each may vary slightly. Period correct cloth push back wire. Copper foil wrapping and grounding. Thanks for your Support. SRV Number One #1 Tribute Stratocaster Guitar Hand Wound Shielded Pickups Set. Awesome pickups at an awesome price. The fit, finish and the tone is comparable to the big boutique brands. Incredibly satisfied with the service and the item showed up fast and expertly packaged. Would and will do business with again in the near future. Hurry and get your order in before there is a wait! Thank you very much. Really looking forward to dropping those in my guitar. I did a little research and hands down I believe this is the best deal on the planet for top notch hand wound pickups. A must for the true Hendrix and Gilmore sound of the late and early 70’s. Look and sound like the. A steal for the price.

Mie Music ” Music is Everything “. Custom Hand / Scatter wound 1963 Boutique Pickups in a loaded 5-Way pickguard. Demo is shown in my store at the bottom of the page. Premiere Guitar Magazine did an article about my guitar builds and vintage pickups in the April 2023 edition of Reader Guitar of the month. The 1963 Stratocaster with Formvar wire pickups was Jimi’s favorite studio guitars. Any quick Google Search you will find that the 1963 remained one of his favorites for studio work, a perfect workhorse on which he would experiment to reach the greatest level of comfort, and that he didn’t dare to play on stage for the fear of losing one of his most precious tools. Only one of them is known to exist and is owned by the Family. 2 had large headstocks maple fretboards. Jimi loved the plain enamel pickups for live shows on his Olympic White guitars. Seymour Duncan also wound some Formvar wire pickups for Jimi and was first used on March 28, 1968 at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. They were a 1 year model only as Fender was doing the sell to CBS in 64/65 years. Specs went from just under 6k to 6.3k and up. The Henries was 3.00 and under. The main reason Fender Vintage guitars are so sought after is the Tone. That Tone came from Hand wound pickups. Hand-Wound pickups/ Loaded Vintage Single Coil Pickguard with modern upgrades. Staggered and beveled Alnico 5, 187 Diameter magnets. Boutique hand/scattered wound pickups made and assembled in my USA Shop. 1963 Black bobbin: if you like the Pre-CBS pickups but wish they had a little more output these are the pickups you want. Tested at 77 degrees 42% humidity, +/- 5% on a DER EE LCR DE-5000, this LCR tester has a USB output that you can save on your PC in Microsoft Software. 1963 Pre-CBS Black Bobbin Averages: Alnico 5,187 diameter magnets, Vintage 42 awg Heavy Gauge Formvar wire. NECK: 6.10k 2.46h, Miiddle: 6.20k 2.52h, Bridge: 6.23k 2.52h. 047 Capacitor: Oil and Paper, Orange drop or Ceramic. POTS: CTS or Fender. Stock Pickguards: White-Black-Mint Green-Red Tortoise and Vintage Brown Tortoise. Covers and Knobs: Fender Aged White Complete accessary kit included. New guitar JACK included. 2- I dip the finished bobbin in lacquer. This does 2 things. # 1 This is where 90% of Vintage Fender pickups fail. The coil wire rubbing against the magnets, the lacquer protects against this. # 2 This glues the Flatwork to the magnets, eliminating the use of super glue. 4- I install lead Vintage push back Cloth covered wires directly to the pickups. 5- Perform the initial testing, k ohms, Henries and pf capacitance. 6- Waxing- I use 80% Paraffin and 20% Bees Wax, heated to 140-150 degrees for 10-15 minutes. 7- I wrap the coil with fabric tape for 4 reasons. #2 Helps stop high gain monophonic feedback. The tape has zero effect on tone. #4 Some guitarist while recording will sit in my control room with the AMP in the ISO room, while others like to sit or stand by their amp. I started to notice that most Gibson guitars did not have that high squeal and after checking those guitars they had Fabric tape on their pickups. So I put Fabric tape on a few of my Strats and was floored that this worked and I take the extra step to build all my pickups this way. Back in the 50’s there was no need for it because the AMPS was not as high powered as today’s. NO change in TONE. 8- Perform second round of testing, confirming the correct specifications are met. 10- Assemble and solder pickguard. I have a 5 way Stew mac Template finished and all I have to do solder in the pickups you choose to the pickguard you choose. My stock Colors are: Black-White-Mint Green- Red Tortoise and Vintage Brown Tortoise. Also I need to know your preference on your 5-Way switch. Option 1: Tone 1 NECKK ONLY.. Tone 2 Middle and Bridge. Option2: Tone 1 NECK and Middle, Tone 2 Bridge only. This is the most popular setups. I been playing Strats for over 50 years and have a pretty good idea of how a Vintage Strat should sound. 80% of the Strat players are ok or happy with their tone. Now for those 20% picky players they also know what to do with that vintage tone. These pickups are hand made one at a time, by me in my small USA Shop. I use USA Remington Wire and have made my pickups as affordable as possible, using the highest quality parts from USA suppliers. My pickups have that true Vintage tone that only fine made hand /scatter wound pickups can bring. All my pickups are Vintage spec’d to the correct pre CBS or early CBS years. My pickups are made to last, and come from the result of listening to my vintage guitar collection, and taking apart a bucket full of DEAD FENDER pickups, studying them, painstakingly un-winding them on video and taking very detailed notes. This is how I came up with my proprietary way of hand winding my pickups. I started BETA testing in 2020 on every kind of neck and body wood made. Plus I tested on Tube and solid state amps, pedals, digital devices, and software in my recording studio, that I opened in 1999 with fantastic results. I have built numerous partcasters, and have installed my pickups, and they are highly comparable to my vintage collection. The work has been done, so install, and you will have complete NIRVANA for recording and playing live. MIE MUSIC ” Music is Everything “. Thank you for supporting a small USA Company.

Demo is shown in my store at the bottom of the page. Premiere Guitar did a article about my guitar builds and Vintage pickups in the APRIL 2023 edition of Reader of the month. The 1982 AVRI has now become the next collectable Stratocaster with prices running 4-10k. These models saved the Fender guitar company during the buyout of CBS at the Fullerton plant. Fender used Plain Enamel 42 gauge, 187 diameter, Alnico 5 Staggered Flat-Top magnets. The first 500 sets had a White Top with Red Bottom bobbin flatware Pickups which make them rare and even more rare Fender also made 200 sets of White Top with Grey Bottom Bobbin Flatware Pickups before changing to the all black Flatware. The specs are all the same on all models. White was the stock factory color pickguard. I build my pickups the old school way. That tone came from Hand Wound Pickups. Not many builders are winding the AVRI pickups. The correct spec Flatware is very hard to come by. Fender in 1998 changed from Plain Enamel to Formvar wire and is still what is used on the current 57/62 pickups. Hand-Wound Pickups/ Loaded Vintage Single Coil Pickguard with Modern upgrades. These Boutique hand / Scattered wound pickups are made and assembled by me in my USA shop. So they can Spec at 5.7k to 5.9k. 047 Capacitor: Oil and Paper, Orange drop or Ceramic. POTS: CTS or Fender. Fender Stratocaster Loaded Pickguard with Custom Hand Wound SRV Number One #1 Tribute Pickups form Migas Touch Pickups. The pickguard was pulled from a genuine Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature Stratocaster. We removed the pickups and installed a set of Custom Hand Wound Number One Tribute Pickups from Migas Touch. Protective Plastic is still on the pickguard. Average read outs: Neck 5.9, Middle 5.5, Bridge 5.5 but each may vary slightly. Period correct cloth push back wire. Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Loaded Pickguard SRV Hand Wound Shielded Pickups Strat
Average read outs: Neck 5.9, Middle 5.5, Bridge 5.5 but each may vary slightly. Period correct cloth push back wire. Copper foil wrapping and grounding. Genuine Fender SRV Pickguard and Wiring from SRV Signature Strat. Thanks for your Support. Awesome pickups at an awesome price. The fit, finish and the tone is comparable to the big boutique brands. Incredibly satisfied with the service and the item showed up fast and expertly packaged. Stratocaster Vintage boutique hand scatter wound loaded 7 way pickguard
Custom boutique hand/scatterwound Vintage Stratocaster pickups in a loaded 7 way pickguard. TRUE Left Handed version available but in 5-way only. All middle pickups are RWRP and Magnets are Staggered & beveled, Pre CBS 54-64 black bobbin Vintage spec Alnico V. 187 diameter magnets using 42 gauge Vintage Formvar Remington Wire OR 65-70 Grey bottom Nicknamed ” The Jimi Years ” using Vintage spec Alnico V. 187 diameter magnets using 42 gauge Vintage Plain Enamel Remington wire. These pickups are completely built by me in my USA, Ohio shop using USA suppliers at mie music. Also a local recording studio. Here are my steps. 2 I dip the unwound completed Flatwork with magnets installed in Lacquer. Dry for 24 hours. 2 Then I hand/scatter to the coil to my proprietary way of winding with 42 gauge USA Remington wire of your choice, Vintage Formvar or Plain enamel. 4 Wax dip with 80% paraffin 20% beeswax at 140-150 degrees. 5 Charge the Magnets. 6 Install on the Pickguard. I use CTS or Fender pots. The Volume knob is a push / pull knob. When in position 5 and the knob pulled it adds the bridge. In position 4 when pulled it adds all 3 pickups in parallel. When not pulled it performs like a Standard 5 way Strat. 7 White or Black are my stock pickguard colors but be sure to ask about other colors. I have been playing Strats for over 50 years and had a bucket full of dead pickups so I started taking them apart to find the weakness. I found that the wiring had rubbed against the coil magnets until they shorted out, so that’s why I lacquer the flatwork before winding. These pickups are made to last and give you a great Vintage tone and low cost upgrade to your instrument. Demo Link: Around 5 minutes long.

Custom Shop Hand Wound Super Tone Strat Pickups and SSS Wired Loaded Pickguard
These are my custom pickups made just for you. Every high quality pcikup is hand wound and every pick guard is hand wired. There is a ton of time and effort that go into these pickups I make. They should have a higher price tag considering the amount of time it takes to make them. I can only ask you enjoy them and tell your friends about them. SSS 5.5 ohm Black/Black #0043. This pick gaurd is hadn wired with my super tone noiseless single coil pickups. These are specfifically engineered for a noiseless plugin. Super Clean Sounds (best for recording). The lead witres coming off are epoxied onto the bobbin. The hot wire is insulated for better noise control. They are wax potted using only parafin wax giving it a nice firm sealing all around the magnet wire. The poles are all north up. Pickiups are 5500 ohms each. 5 way Oaks Grigsby selector switch. High Quality Poly Caps. Entire backside of pickguard is copper coated. Knobs and switch end are not included. Extra long leads to solder to your input jack. I did make a Youtube video so you can hear how quite these are and the varying tone you can get from the different postions.
