It’s especially ideal for those who aren’t great at soldering. From bluesy Hendrix to out-of-phase Dire Straits to twangy bright country-rock sounds, this Strat has all the bases covered. From Duncan: With more than twice the power of a traditional Stratocaster single-coil, the Quarter Pound Flat has a fat, punchy tone with plenty of top end sparkle. The hand polished, diameter alnico 5 magnets are matched with a larger, more powerful coil winding to deliver sparkly midrange harmonics, great sustain, and big, full chords, making this one of our most popular single-coil pickups. The bobbins are hand built, and wax potted for squeal free performance. The pickups use modern oval Forbon flatwork (non-triangular) which enables them to fit into any guitar that is routed for single coils. Condition : This is one handsome pickguard in excellent shape. The pickguard itself is slightly yellowed and has a little pickmark wear, but no cracks, gouges, or other abuse. All three pickups have very little wear too, and work as well as new. Each has a resistance of just under 13 Kohms. Installation Notes : This part will fit any Stratocaster that is routed for the SSS configuration, other bodies may require routing. Installation is fairly simple: wire up the ground wire from the bridge, and solder the volume pot terminals to your output jack. The pickguard’s screw holes will match up perfectly to any Fender USA Strat body. Import Strats will require drilling some screw holes in your body, but don’t let that stop you – this is a great and easy to install upgrade for non-USA Strats!
