2-wire “Triple Gold” Lace sensors are arguably the best sensors Don Lace ever produced, and these are their counterparts in the Deluxe configuration B-S-R. The pickups were donated from a lightly-played 1989-90 Strat Plus, and it is in really excellent shape, almost mint… All you need do is to check the lettering on the sensor covers… Quite usually, these colors and the lettering are barely perceptible. The color and lettering is rich and vibrant, with not a lot of wear. This is especially rare in the 1st generation Lace sensor covers, which were flat (like this one). Subsequent generations had a recessed lip to protect the lettering from getting worn away by the pick. The Parchment pickguard is in excellent shape, and has the beginnings of yellow patina that is only earned with age. Control knobs are all a similar yellow, so they definitely are included in sale. This pick would look at home in ANY body you care to use it in! All this Strat Plus stuff is “vintage” now, and it’s getting harder and harder to find these parts. Because they’re already installed in guitars that are getting snapped-up by collectors. And these 2-wire B-S-R Deluxe sensors are incredible rare; of the dozens of Plus’ I’ve owned, I believe this is the first set I’ve ever even seen in-person!
