Up for sale is this vintage “loaded” pickguard for a Fender USA 1983 or 1984 “two-knob” Stratocaster. All the parts on this pickguard (except the jack) are the originals from a 1983 Fullerton, California USA Strat. The vintage Fender USA pickups read the usual resistances (each about 5.7 Kohms) and have the code on the back (016730) and light blue and white wires that identify them as the real McCoy. It’s especially ideal for those who aren’t great at soldering. Condition: Excellent, with light wear. There’s only a few of the usual pickmarks you see on vintage pickguards, and they aren’t easy to see. The pickguard has aged nicely to an off-white color – very attractive. There are no cracks, breaks, or any damage to the guard. The pickups look excellent, and all work as well as new. All controls work great too, with no noise, and the wiring is factory stock and unmolested. Overall, this is a great-sounding collection of vintage parts in outstanding shape. Installation Notes: Although intended for a 1983 or 1984 Fender USA Strat restoration, this part will fit any standard Stratocaster body. It couldn’t be easier to install – screw the ground wire onto the body, and screw on the pickguard. That’s it – no soldering required!
