You are looking at a brand new all Fender parts loaded pre-wired pickguard with a set of 3 genuine Fender Custom Shop Texas Special pickups. The color is all black. It looks very cool! There is a protective plastic cover on the pickguard to be peeled off before you use it. The cool thing about this loaded pickguard is that we will install a 7 way mini toggle switch between the 5 way switch and the volume knob (not shown in the pictures). This allows you to combine the neck and bridge pickups, and/or use all three pickups at the same time. Otherwise it comes with the 7 way switch. This listing is for regular 11 hole pickguard, and it will fit all Fender American, Mexico, Japanese, and Custom Shop strat with 11 mounting screw holes. We can also do any custom color of pickguard loaded with any pickups with any custom wiring needs. For example, you can combine Fralin pickups with any Fender or Duncan pickups; or add a Duncan liberator system or 1-3 mini toggle switches (like 7 function Gilmour switch, or the phase inverting switch, or a coil split push pull pot, or a Fender S1 system, etc) for more versatile wiring. The Alnico V bar magnet allows for the output to remain balanced during big string bends that makes for a beautifully articulate tone. When it was over, the world had heard and felt the sound of a Strat in the hands of a master. Single-coil electric guitar pickups in 1967 were bright and very clean. And of course, they hummed. DiMarzio has captured this classic bright and clean sound but totally eliminated the hum with patented Area technology. They also reduced magnet pull by 40% for improved sustain and clarity. There was no such thing as a neck or bridge humbucker in the 1950s, but there was a wide range of performance between individual pickups that made some better suited to one position. Some of the old pickups had a lot of wire on the coils, which created more power and a warmer tone. He liked the Air Norton S in the neck, Chopper in the middle and Tone Zone S in the bridge. After playing them on several gigs, he asked for some changes in the neck and bridge pickups. Corgan wanted a deeper sound from the low strings without losing any punch, and he didn’t want the sound to get muddy with high-gain amps. The end results are the pickups that are now in Billy’s signature Strat. They do exactly what he wants in humbucking mode and he’s found they work really well in split mode as well.
