They are a little more aggressive without losing the vintage sweetness. When distorted it will not get muddy. It really sounds great overdriven and can push an amp. A lot of stronger Strat pickups don’t sound very good clean but this one sounds great and can get super funky. In a lot of RWRP sets, positions 2 and 4 lack life. But these is plenty of bounce, spank and quack in positions 2 and 4 with this set. These pickups clean up great by rolling back the volume. They also work great with the tone pots to tame a harsh amp. Vintage Tone for Modern Times. It would have a logical step forward from the 50’s & 60’s. The way construct these things give you more Punch, Sting & Volume than our much loved 60’s pickups. The Punchy characteristic was inspired by the lack of vintage style pickups on the market with good Punchy tone. High quality no lead soldering tin free from oxidation (the same used on high end stereo system). So all you need to do is connect these two wires to your output jack. Custom Shop Texas Special Stratocaster pickups are over-wound for increased output, and are made with alnico 5 magnets and enamel-coated magnet wire for great midrange bite with crystalline highs and tight bass. Enamel-coated magnet wire for warm vintage tone. Staggered pole pieces for balanced output. Alnico 5 magnets for more focus and enhanced dynamics. Overwound calibrated pickups for scorching output.
