ObsidianWire Pre-Wired Switchcraft jack & pickguard mounting screws are included. Fender Custom Shop Texas Special Pickups are Made in the USA. ObsidianWire Kit is made in New Zealand. Pickguard has the clear protective sheath. Designed to fit Fender: American Series/Standard/Deluxe/Select/Special and Highway 1 (USA), Road Worn®, Deluxe Player, Blacktop, Standard, Deluxe and’70s (Mexico), Squier Standard Series (2004-Present), and Modern Player Series (China) models. The ObsidianWire Traditional Vintage Plus harness plays homage to all of those famous Fender® Strat® sounds that we have known and loved since the 50s. Like Leo, we have an eye for detail so we have also added a few handy touches to improve the play-ability and sound. Adding the Plus to the Traditional Vintage. The Traditional Vintage harness retains the sound of the 1954 Stratocaster®. We also add simple tweaks to make those Traditional Vintage sounds more usable, and accessible for the working musician. To make your tone crystal clear at lower volumes we also include an ObsidianWire Custom Spec Treble Bleed Mod. The Air Classic has the same sweet sound as a classic humbucker, but Airbucker technology permits us to use a more reliable full-strength Alnico 5 magnet and still reduce string-pull to increase sustain and sensitivity.
