This listing is for regular 11 hole pickguard, and it will fit all Fender American, Mexico, Japanese, and Custom Shop strat with 11 mounting screw holes. There is a protective plastic cover on the pickguard to be peeled off when you get it. These pickups have the typical Fender vintage 50s fat, warm, and woody sound! We can also do any custom color of pickguard loaded with any pickups with any custom wiring needs. For example, you can combine Fralin pickups with any Fender or Duncan pickups; or add a Duncan liberator system or 1-3 mini toggle switches (like 7 function Gilmour switch, or the phase inverting switch, or a coil split push pull pot, or a Fender S1 system, adding a bassplate or vintage shielding etc) for more versatile wiring (extra charges may apply). Brand new Fender CTS pots (top quality, if you know them), turns extremely smoothly. The same American-made top quality cotton wrapped (shielded) wires used in Fender Custom Shop (Double-cloth jacket has a waxed cotton outer braid and a Celanese inner braid just like Leo used). High quality no lead soldering tin free from oxidation (the same used on high end stereo system). So all you need to do is connect these two wires to your output jack. Middle sounds great and is RWRP to eliminate hum in positions 2 & 4. It’s full, clear and warm. They clean up well by rolling off volume without losing clarity. You can roll the tone back to nail your desired jazz tone without losing punch. These pickups are made to sound slightly bigger without losing the vintage sweetness. Vintage Tone for Modern Times. The 1969 Jazz Strat set was inspired by a couple of amazing sets from the late 1960’s. This is the period of time in which the switch they started uses less wire on the pickups vs. The mid 60’s. The 60’s Strat pickups are known for being warmer or what some would even call a bit darker than the 50’s Strat Pickups. The use of less plain enamel copper magnet wire on late 60 vs. Mid 60’s delivered a smoother, clearer and more open tone. We used these late-60’s Strat’s as a tonal starting point. Using special materials along with our proprietary techniques we’ve added enhanced dynamics & increased sustain. This will also enable you to hear the previously hidden harmonics from your guitar. Unlike other pickups, they stay really articulate when you roll off the tone. You’ll notice these tonal differences immediately. These are the Best Strat Pickups for a Jazzy tone. Many Jazz players own this set but lot’s of other guitarists have added clarity and warmth to their Strat with these.
