K42-2 Paper in Oil capacitor. The Scooped Strat pickups were designed for players that wanted to cover everything from singing and screaming vintage Texas blues to the soft crunch and clean high tones of pop rock. To cover that kind of range, the pickups were voiced to accentuate the high and low frequencies while scaling back on the mids. These Alnico V loaded pickups will create incredible balance with pedals and amps that are voiced with higher mids.

The neck and middle are lower output then our TruVintage54’s and the bridge is pushed up enough to create a nice balance and has a mix of magnets that create a warm tone. Think JM’s Gravity. A mix of alnico magnets, slightly hand beveled to keep an articulate focused tone. This set is clean, tight, and crisp and the bridge is warm, full and rounded. Hand beveled cast alnico magnets, laser cut hand punched flat work, lacquer dipped, scatter wound, Special wax potted to reduce microphonics, USA Vintage Cloth Hook Up wire, RWRP middle. NEW Klein Jazzy Cat John Mayer Loaded Strat Pickguard. Klein Jazze Cat Stratocaster Pickups. 5 Position Oak Grigsby Switch. Bourns 250k Low friction pots. Mint 3 ply pickguard and white knobs. Vintage Russian Military Spec Paper in Oil Capacitor. John Mayer Strat wiring scheme. Scooped Mid Range Tone. The closest that one can get to Euphoria in tone. We have spent countless hours researching, to obtain all the information necessary to build a set of pickups that gets this Tone. We went through several dozen test sets in the development, fine tuning each to get as close as possible. We also had to order special magnets to stock for this set. The neck has a very unique stagger while the middle & bridge have the same stagger, but it is as well is different from traditional vintage stagger. These pickups are lower in output (not low output) providing that scooped mid range tone, very clean, while still full in the low end, provides that extreme crystal clean quack which is a signature characteristic to this set. The set has Hand Beveled Magnets, wax potted, & RWRP. Extensive testing was done on a Two Rock amp we have here at the shop and with just a touch of reverb from the amp it achieves tonal euphoria. These pickups also put your guitar in the tonal range so you can get some killer Hendrix and SRV tones. This set also is great for playing some smokehouse blues, so don’t think you will be limited in your tone for playing this set.
