This item is a very early DiMarzio Stratocaster pickguard assembly. I’ll say this right up front: The bridge position Super Distortion humbucker doesn’t read on my meter. Judging by the Super Distortion (it’s early production with slotted screws) this is late 1970s or very early 1980s at the latest. At 40 plus years old, it’s “vintage”. The date code was sanded off the back of the pots to prepare them for soldering decades ago. Pots look like full sized CTS. The neck and middle single coils are good. That’s hot for Strat pickups! Up for sale is a slightly used but in mint condition pre-wired pickguard with a set of Lollar Vintage Blackface pickups. This was tried on a guitar we built for literally 2 minutes only, so it is practically new. This listing is for regular 11 hole pickguard, and it will fit all Fender American, Mexico, Japanese, and Custom Shop strat with 11 mounting screw holes. We can modify the pickguard for you. -High quality no lead soldering tin free from oxidation (the same used on high end stereo system). Featuring a pre-CBS 1960s Strat®-style wind, our Strat Blackface Pickups give you a classic Strat tone with full body and punch. The overall tone has a prominent midrange, clear treble, and full bass with a well-defined, piano-like attack. Includes medium output with vintage style cloth covered lead wire. Middle is RWRP for humbucking operation in positions 2 and 4. Neck 6.4K, middle 6.5K, and bridge 6.8K. We can also modify this loaded pickguard with any pickups or any custom wiring needs. For example, you can combine these pickups with any Fender or Duncan pickups; or add a Duncan liberator system or 1-3 mini toggle switches (like 7 function Gilmour switch, or the phase inverting switch, or a coil split push pull pot, or a Fender S1 system, adding a bassplate or vintage shielding etc) for more versatile wiring (extra charges may apply). This pickguard is hand wired in our 920D Custom shop with the best available components including CRL, CTS, Switchcraft, and Gavitt. It features a TBX tone control and a CTS Blender pot. The TBX allows you to cut either treble or bass depending on which way you turn the pot. The neck and middle pickups are average 50’s specs, while the bridge is as hot as possible with this wire.
