These characteristics provide greater versatility than what is normally found in single-coil pickups. Favorites of Steve Lukather and David Gilmour just to name two. EMG-SPC The SPC or “Strat Presence Control” is often called the fat control. This is accomplished by boosting the gain in a broad mid-band fashion and reducing the highs. EMG-EXG For flexibility in tone at your fingertips there is no better choice than the EXG Guitar Expander. The frequency response of the EXG is similar to normal guitar amp equalization. The lows and highs are boosted while the midrange is dipped out. The EXG is great for creating a fuller tone that doesn’t get muddy, while keeping it clean and clear, letting your guitar stand out in the mix. 920D Custom Loaded Strat Pickguard Duncan Fender BK/WH SSL-5,’69, Fat 50’s. This setup features a Symour Duncan SSL-5 in the Bridge, Fender Custom Shop’69 in the Middle and a Fender Custom Shop Fat’50s in the Neck. You can also combine all three pickups. Everything is still wired together from the factory and is in excellent working condition. The pickguard has some minor scuffs, but no major scratches or cracks. Seymour Duncan P-Rails Pickups with Trembucker in bridge position Black WD Music 3-Ply Pickguard Fender Black Skirt Knobs Two Bourns 500K Push-Pull Tone Pots CTS 500K Volume Pot CRL 3-way Switch Gavitt Cloth Covered Vintage Wiring Hand Soldered In The 920D Custom Shop P-Rails HH configuration. The first pot is master volume only. The two tone push/pull pots control the bridge and neck tone as well as the functionality of the P-Rails pickups. The pickups can be used in rail, P-90, series humbucking, or parallel humbucking modes depending on the combination of how the push/pull pots are set. Both tone pot knobs down will put both pickups in series humbucking mode. Both tone pot knobs up will put both pickups in parallel humbucking mode. One tone knob up and the other down will put the pickups in P-90 mode. Reverse that setting to get the Rail mode.
