Fender Stratocaster 1983 1984 loaded pickguard – Vintage Strat pickups, COMPLETE. Fender USA 1983 / 1984 Stratocaster loaded pickguard. If you are going to restore that old Strat, you might as well do it right! Up for sale is this vintage “loaded” pickguard for a Fender USA 1983 or 1984 “two-knob” Stratocaster. All the parts on this pickguard are from a 1984 Fullerton, California USA Strat. The vintage Fender USA pickups read the usual resistances (5.78 Kohms, 5.85k, and 5.85k) and have the code on the back (016730) and light blue and white wires that identify them as the real McCoy. It’s especially ideal for those who aren’t great at soldering. Condition: Excellent, with very light wear. There’s not many of the usual pickmarks you see on vintage pickguards, and its color is only slightly off-white, as are the other plastic parts. There are no cracks, breaks, or any damage to the guard. The pickups look excellent, and all work as well as new. All controls function well too, with no noise, and the wiring is factory stock and unmolested. I’m not sure if the knobs are the originals or not, but they are a perfect match so I have left them on. Overall, this is a great-sounding collection of vintage parts in outstanding shape. Installation Notes: Although intended for a 1983 or 1984 Fender USA Strat restoration, this part will fit any standard Stratocaster body. It couldn’t be easier to install – screw the ground wire onto the body, and screw on the pickguard. That’s it – no soldering required! I’m not a faceless business but a life-long guitarist who can give you the personal touch. Most important, I’m happy to share my knowledge and help my customers with their parts installation.
