This Parchment 3-ply pickguard has been custom wired in our 920D Custom Shop with a top of the line components and the Fender Custom Shop Seymour Duncan SSL-1 & SSL-5 Pickups. It also features a mini toggle switch for neck on in any position. This gives you two new settings – neck and bridge or all three pickups at the same time. The same type of magnet wire is used, as well as the same number of coil windings. The staggered rod magnets are hand-ground, then aged by the exclusive Dun-Aged process. Lacquered bobbins and cloth-braid hookup wire complete the vintage look. Every detail is included to duplicate the bell-like tone and the high-end bite that made the vintage Strat pickups famous. Description The Vintage Staggered RWRP for Stratocaster uses the same hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets and heavy Formvar magnet wire as our standard version, but is made reverse woundreverse polarity, RWRP. When combined with the neck or bridge pickups, it will produce that classic in-between Strat quack, but with none of the traditional single coil hum. Combine with an SSL-1 in the neck and bridge for a complete vintage set. Or combine with a higher output bridge model such as a SSL-5 for more bite. Built the same way since 1978, we use the proper color and thickness of Forbon flatwork with all of our vintage Fender style single coil pickups. We hand file the flatwork, assemble, and lacquer the bobbin just as it was done during Fenders Golden Age.
