Let me break this pickguard down for you. It sports a Duesenberg (Germany) 5-Way Switch (B, B+M, M, M+N, N), and a Switchcraft output jack with Bourns A250k Brass shaft Pots. And, because this has 7-Way Switching, there are even more blending options. A very nice option indeed! A Treble Bleed allows the highs to pass through the Volume pot as you roll off the Volume. What this does is keep the Brightness and the Clarity of the pickups the same as you roll down the volume. You have the same clarity and brightness at 10 as you would at 9,8,7,6 and so on. This is a super nice! The Bridge Pot is a Push/Pull Pot. When you pull up the knob on the Bridge and it splits the coil of the Hexbucker making it a single coil. Perfect for when you want to tame the monster down. Guitar Madness Hexbucker: (Bridge). Similar to the original distortion pickups from the late 70s. These are the original pickups that broke the mold and started a whole new business in replacement pickups. When split it performs just as well. Perfect match to the Single Hex’s. With fully adjustable poles it is one of my personal favorite setups. Guitar Madness Single Hex: (Neck & Middle). These have fully adjustable pole pieces and are similar in construction to the single coil size P-90s with two Ferrite magnets on either side of the poles. This was taken from my Fender American Special stratwhen I decided to go for all single coils pickups. This has the cool “S1″ pushbutton to split the humbucker and mix in in various ways with the single coils. This is used, there is light wear from picking on the guard itself and a touch of rust on one magnet you can see in the photo, but otherwise is in perfect shape. Seymour Duncan SSL-1 for Stratocaster pickups use hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets and heavy Formvar mag wire with a special wind pattern to produce that bright, glassy, bell tone with all of the bounce and sparkle you would expect from the best 50s Strat pickups.
