Up for sale is this near-vintage “loaded” pickguard pulled from a genuine Fender USA 1989 Strat Plus Deluxe. The genuine Fender Lace Sensor pickups all work as well as new. These are the pickups that Eric Clapton originally used in his Signature Strat. The Fender Lace Sensor is (in my opinion) one of the best pickups ever produced. It not only sounds great, but it exhibits hardly any of the obnoxious noise or hum that plagues most single-coil pickups. The pickups have yellowed only slightly. The pickguard itself has very little wear. Even the usual pickmarks are so light that I couldn’t get a picture of them. The guard has yellowed a bit to a nice off-white color. No major gouges, breaks, cracks, or other wear is present. The pots’ date codes are all obscured by solder, except for the middle tone pot, which shows an “89” date code. The original factory wiring is unmolested. All pickups, pots, and the switch work as well as new. Even the knobs and switch tip are the original Fender Factory parts. It’s easy to install with only some minor soldering to your output jack and ground. I’m not a faceless business but a life-long guitarist who can give you the personal touch.
