This is an original vintage 1979 Fender Stratocaster complete loaded pickguard. Made in Fullerton, California, USA. Correct black 3 ply pickguard. All pots are dated 1977. Serial number sticker still present: S782024. All solder is factory original. Original CRL 3 way switch. All original black knobs & tip. Grey fibre bobbin pickups. Stamped: 16 42 77. All original windings & lead wires. This is a really nice clean loaded pickguard from 1977. This is the perfect replacement part if yours are faulty or you need it for a project. More pictures available upon request. Please ask all questions now, because I won’t take responsibility for anything I don’t mention out of lack of knowledge of the item. You are looking at a brand new pre-wired pickguard with a set of 3 genuine Fender USA Pure Vintage Limited Edition’59 Pickups. The’59 pickups have slightly stronger output than other Pure Vintage pickups, allowing them to handle more versatile musical styles. The color for this listing is all aged cream. It looks very cool! There is a protective plastic cover on the pickguard to be peeled off when you get it. The cool thing about this loaded pickguard is that we will install a 7 way mini toggle switch between the 5 way switch and the volume knob (not shown in the pictures). This allows you to combine the neck and bridge pickups, and/or use all three pickups at the same time. Otherwise it comes with the 7 way switch. We can do any color and any hole pattern for you. Fender USA 1983 / 1984 Stratocaster loaded pickguard. If you are going to restore that old Strat, you might as well do it right! This is one of those parts I can never keep in stock – it always sells very quickly. Up for sale is this vintage “loaded” pickguard for a Fender USA 1983 or 1984 “two-knob” Stratocaster. All the parts on this pickguard are from a 1984 Fullerton, California USA Strat. The vintage Fender USA pickups read the usual resistance (all three at around 5.6 Kohms) and have the code on the back (016730) and light blue and white wires that identify them as the real McCoy. It’s especially ideal for those who aren’t great at soldering. The pickguard itself is in better than usual shape cosmetically. As you would expect from a part over 30 years old, there are a few pickmarks on the guard. They are so light that I couldn’t get a clear picture of them. There are no cracks, breaks, or any damage to the guard. It has yellowed slightly, as you can see by the pictures of it sitting on a white background. The pickups look excellent, and all work as well as new. Their covers have yellowed a little more than the pickguard. The controls all function well, with no noise. All the wiring is factory stock and unmolested. The knobs are the only non-original parts on this item – they are new, and a better match than the knobs that were on the guard when I received it. Overall, this is a great-sounding collection of vintage parts in outstanding shape. Installation Notes: Although intended for a 1983 or 1984 Fender USA Strat restoration, this part will fit any standard Stratocaster body. It couldn’t be easier to install – screw the ground wire onto the body, and screw on the pickguard. That’s it – no soldering required! This Loaded Pickguard was created based on the specs for the Eric Clapton Signature Strat from the Fender Custom Shop. The clean tone is clear and very full. These Noiseless pickups deliver the best definition and sensitivity that has ever graced the Strat. This loaded pickguard also comes with TBX Tone Control. The TBX invokes a dramatic tone shift: super muted and bassy like a jazz guitar when turned one way, and bright and crystal-clear the other. It’s very impressive.
