Letting go of this awesome loaded pickguard that I had in my Strat – it’s got a Suhr Thornbucker in the neck and the newer Thornbucker II (53mm spacing) in the bridge. If you’ve ever wanted that sweet Pete Thorn tone without shelling out for the full signature Suhr, this setup got me shockingly close. This will fit standard Fender and Warmoth Strat bodies – heads up, it’s. Compatible with Suhr guitars. I originally built this as a kind of “working man’s Pete Thorn Signature” Strat. It served me incredibly well until I lucked into the real deal, so I’m passing this one along. Honestly, tone-wise, it’s been right in the ballpark at a fraction of the price. Wired up with a 920D Custom 2-humbucker harness, which I actually prefer over the quirky control setup on the official Suhr model.
