Up for grabs is this mint-on-mint 11-hole Strat loaded pickguard featuring a hand-wound, USA-made set of McCready-inspired single coils. This build uses a NOS Russian K75-12 paper-in-oil capacitor. 015µF / 400V – the highest-end capacitor we offer. It provides smooth, interactive tone control with zero mud and works perfectly with the discreet treble bleed for musical response across the entire sweep. This one component is a game changer. These pickups were designed to avoid the shrill edge the stock MIM McCready sets can have. We retained the McCready-style treble bleed so the volume control stays clear and expressive but without harshness. Built with the best components throughout. Specs. McCready-inspired pickups (Alnico 2 & 4, RWRP). Oak-Grigsby 5-way switch. Hand-matched Bourns 250k pots. NOS Russian K75-12 PIO capacitor. Due to normal variation in Strat screw hole placement, a small pilot hole may occasionally be required for perfect alignment.
