A That the pickguard is the correct model b That the color of the pickguard is correct for the model The last reason is to add packing material on the pickguard to ensure safe arrival. We have had issues in the past, and through preemptive action, simple mistakes can be avoided. A set of the Vintage Staggered for Strat pickups (SSL-1), pre-loaded into a pickguard ready to drop into your Stratocaster guitar for pure vintage tone. Our Vintage Staggered Strat pickups use hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets and heavy Formvar mag wire with a special wind pattern to produce that bright, glassy, bell tone with all of the bounce and sparkle you’d expect from the best 50s Strat pickups. The treble attack is crisp and immediate, while the low end remains articulate and focused. Chords ring out with clear note to note separation. The pots, selector switch, and cap, are all high quality, and we use vintage style cloth push back wire for all of the connections. This pickguard uses an 11-screw hole “USA” pattern. Since 1978, we’ve been building all of our vintage Fender style single coil pickups with the right color and thickness of Forbon flatwork, along with the period correct magnet stagger. Seymour Duncan SSL-1 Loaded Pre-wired Pickguard. These were never installed but listed as used. Pickguard has protective film. Pickups are new old stock. This Black 3-ply pickguard has been custom wired with top of the line components and the Seymour Duncan SSL-1 Pickups. Seymour Duncan SSL-1 Pickups. Black 3 Ply Pickguard. Paper in Oil (PIO) Tone capacitor. The same type of magnet wire is used, as well as the same number of coil windings. The staggered rod magnets are hand-ground, then aged by the exclusive Dun-Aged process. Lacquered bobbins and cloth-braid hookup wire complete the vintage look.
